The Utopia Reader Design Awards have been launched, in association with the KBSA, to reward our readers for their kitchen and bathroom designs

Entry in 4 simple steps 1. Imagine your dream kitchen or bathroom in your home 2. Now, take a sheet of paper and simply draw this dream design, or create it using your computer. It doesn’t have to be to scale, and you can be as imaginative with shapes and colours as you wish. 3. Please draw a birds-eye view or a view looking into the room. 4. What the judges look for Our special judging panel is looking for kitchen and bathroom designs that have been sent in from you, the reader. We are looking for simple but creative ideas that showcase real, functional and imaginative designs. Our judges understand that Utopia readers are brimming with ideas but are not sure how to create their dream look. We are here to help you achieve that kitchen and bathroom dream.
The Ceremony The ceremony will take place at the annual KBSA Design Innovation Awards held at a luxurious 4 star hotel in late summer 2008.
The Prizes 1st Prize – Kitchen Design £10,000 worth of Nolte kitchen furniture and Nolte worktops £500 worth of design time with a KBSA designer at your nearest Nolte kitchen Showroom. £5000 worth of KitchenAid appliances 2 x tickets for the prestigious KBSA Design Innovation Awards, including dinner and overnight accommodation. 2nd Prize – Kitchen Design £1000 worth of KitchenAid appliances Opportunity to attend the prestigious KBSA Design Innovation Awards at a reduced rate 1st Prize – Bathroom Design £5,000 worth of Bathroom furniture and sanitary ware £500 worth of design time with a designer. 2 x tickets for the prestigious KBSA Design Innovation Awards, including dinner and overnight accommodation

Competition Rules 1. The closing date for entries is September 30th 2008 2. Only one entry per household is permitted. 3. The prize is as stated: Kitchen Design Award 1st Prize - Nolte kitchen furniture and Nolte worktops; including delivery to the retail value of £10,000 inclusive of VAT with no cash alternative and £500 worth of design time with a designer at the winners nearest Nolte kitchen Showroom. KitchenAid appliances; including delivery to the winners home address to the retail value of £5,000 inclusive of VAT with no cash alternative. The winner must arrange and pay for a competent person to fit the appliances in accordance to relevant national and building legislation. 2 tickets for the prestigious KBSA Design Innovation Awards held in November 2008 including dinner and overnight accommodation at awards ceremony – venue to be confirmed. Where a design is not possible, an alternative solution will be offered. 6. The Judge’s decision is final. 7. Entrants must be 18 or over. 8.
