Bespoke Waterproof Televisions

The pioneer of bathroom televisions, Aquavision, who is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has responded to the requests from designers and specifiers for a ‘made-to-measure’ solution. The Bespoke Range features an Aquavision waterproof television behind MirrorVision or fully mirrored glass.

The glass panels can be supplied in any size (landscape or portrait) up to a maximum of 200cm x 150cm, whilst there are six sizes of Aquavision screens ranging from 10” to 40” which can be fitted in the viewing window. The tailor-made individual televisions can incorporate multiple screens, back lighting, mounting holes, basin taps and even additional matching glass panels to create a whole mirror wall effect.

The Aquavision LCD is fitted to the glass using a special mounting bezel which is bonded to the glass during manufacture. The company can offer various finishes and frames chosen by the customer in any colour and most patterns to give a seamless and contemporary style to any room. The MirrorVision Glass provides a mirror finish providing a high quality reflection. Although it is not a full chrome mirror, it has the appearance of a slightly tinted mirror. When the television is switched off, the whole of the glass has the same mirror appearance. When it is switched on, the area in front of the screen becomes opaque. The fully mirrored chrome glass features a blank glass area where the television is located. When the television is switched off, the area where it is located appears black.

Even though these televisions can be installed in steamy and humid rooms such as bathrooms and saunas, the screen will never mist up and will remain clear and dry at all times. Two remote controls (one master and one waterproof) are provided with the new waterproof television and a hard wired control panel is available to fix on the wall.

Aquavision televisions feature RS232 control, integrated Freeview digital tuners, a component video, S-Video and analogue PC input, HDMI inputs, full scart connection and built in games. Image quality is far more superior than any other waterproof TV available offering a contrast ratio of 1600:1 on the AVF-32-4C for outstanding reproduction of detail and depth of images and 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution on most models. The screens accept both industry standard ‘High Definition’ video formats (1080i and 720p) perfect for watching the latest HDTV and high definition movies and feature infra red pass through, to enable control of other equipment such as SKY.

Speakers and the RSP4 hard wired control panel with switch mimic are also available with the Bespoke Range.
