Do you know of any double basin units that don’t take up too much room?
There’s nothing worse than fighting over the tap with a mouthful of toothpaste while your partner or kids are washing their faces in the morning and that’s the exact reason why double basins have become so popular of late.
I’ve recently started working with a French company called Burgbad and they have a lovely selection of double basins that would do just the trick. The new duo ‘Chiaro’ basin for instance measures 1010mm wide, surprisingly compact for a product of this nature. The great thing is it doesn’t look pokey – quite the opposite in fact. It would look quite the part in a large, family bathroom or luxury en-suite.
Alternatively, you could always opt for a large single basin, generous enough to allow two users at a time. With this in place, you simply have two taps installed to the wall behind. The best of both, it means you can save a little bit of room but still have your own private washing area.
Quadro sell a double basin by Saneux that measures 108 x 50cm and is priced at £612.14. They include bottle taps in a chrome finish priced at £56.40 and a pair of Molten basin mixer taps priced at £240.88 020 3375 9001
