Do you know of any door-type fridges wider than the standard
55-60cm as I have a 90cm gap for a fridge in my new kitchen?

Most under-counter fridges measure 60cm wide and unfortunately I haven’t been able to find one wider than this. If you had a slightly larger space to play with, I would suggest you buy two slimline fridges but sadly even those wouldn’t quite fit in this instance. You could always opt for a 60cm fridge then fill the gap with a 30cm drinks cooler. Caple’s ‘Wi3114’ wine cabinet would slot in perfectly. If you’re not keen on this idea, you could always call upon a carpenter to fill the space by building in a set of shelves or even a wine rack. Personally, I would opt for a drawer refrigerator, which are available to fit 90cm voids.

Hotpoint’s fridge drawers NCD191I are 90cm wide, and can take stainless steel décor panels or your own cabinet doors. The appliance has a net capacity of 150 litres, with an A+ energy efficiency rating. Around £1,000 including panels. www.hotpoint.co.uk

Fisher & Paykel’s CoolDrawer is a multi-temperature device, which, at the touch of a button, changes into a fridge, freezer, pantry, chiller or wine store. It is A+ energy efficiency rated and has 128 usable litres of space. H640xW855xD557mm. £1,599. www.tomorrowskitchen.co.uk
