Can you suggest some extendable dining tables that are small in normal use but extend to seat 8-10 people?
Small spaces often present problems when entertaining. It can be difficult enough finding a table suitable for a small room without making it look dark or cramped let alone one that can transform into a banquet counter fit for a king. Having to rearrange furniture to make room for a dusty fold-out wallpaper pasting table usually stored in the attic is not an option many people are particularly keen on. Retaining style whilst striving for practicality is often a challenge - but one that can definitely be overcome.
Fortunately there are solutions available; Bianco from Ligne Roset for instance. This is a sleek and stylish telescopic dining table suitable for all occasions. It has an aluminium frame, anodised on the inside and matt lacquered on all visible faces. With a one-piece lacquered clear glass table top, also available in lightened matt aluminium, it has two stationary feet and two glider feet allowing the table to extend as required. Measuring 150cm alone, it conceals three ‘lightened’ panels (i.e. with polyurethane foam interior) to extend the table by 50cm a time. At its longest the table is 300cm long, which will accommodate roughly 12 people so perfect for entertaining.
Available in white, the Bianco dining table will bring light into the smallest room and allow for intimate dinners or sumptuous dinner parties. 08707 777 202 www.ligne-roset.co.uk
