Centrepoint design for your bathroom

1) When undertaking centre-point design in a bathroom, you need to ensure that functionality is considered. There needs to be enough space to make the design work, i.e. don't put a freestanding bath in the middle of the room if there will be no room to walk around it. Equally, if a bathroom is very large and you choose to place the bath in the centre of the room, you need to ensure that a towel warmer is positioned nearby.

2) Why not create a partition wall in the middle of the room that acts as a screen, not reaching either side of the room or the ceiling. On one face of it, you can position the WC and bidet; not only would this hide them from view but the wall can be used to conceal unsightly pipework and the cistern. On the reverse side, you can have a wet area; a large fixed shower head can be placed towards the top of the partition, with a further hand shower lower down. The wall can be tiled and of course the floor will need to be tanked.

3) Pipework and wiring are important factors to consider from the outset of any bathroom project. If you want to achieve centre-point design, you need to ensure that enough thought is given to the positioning of all fixtures and fittings to avoid any complications further down the line.
